Landscapes

2024 - Present

My landscape paintings are deeply personal–rooted in memory, history and the quiet essence of a place. Unlike my other work, which explores movement, confrontation, and distortion, my landscapes exist as a space of reflection and preservation. They serve as subtle ‘head nods’ to the people and moments that make these locations significant, whether through a familiar stretch of marshland, the light at a certain time of day, or an unspoken detail that only those who know the place will recognize.

These paintings are a departure from the immersive intensity that often consumes my artistic practice. In many ways, they are my guilty pleasures–pieces I create for the love of capturing and honoring spaces that are near and dear to my heart. I find joy in sharing them with family and friends, offering a glimpse into the places that have shaped me.
